			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are thousands and thousands of online and offline places where you can submit your articles for publication.  People need content - whether it&#8217;s a feature article or a filler.</p>
<p>When you write your articles, the expectation is not that you&#8217;ll get paid.  How you achieve value is by writing a great author resource &#8220;box&#8221; - basically a paragraph that tells who you are, how to contact you and gives them a call to action, such as going to your website to get a free-giveaway.</p>
<p>When people reprint your articles they have to include the author resource box and in that way, your name gets put in front of the readers and those that are interested know how to connect with you.</p>
<p>There are so many places that you can submit your article:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> free and low-cost article submission sites such as <a href="http://www.ezinearticles.com" target="_blank">Ezine Articles</a> and <a href="http://www.submityourarticle.com/affiliates/idevaffiliate.php?id=969" target="_blank">SubmitYourArticle</a></li>
<li> online ezines</li>
<li> association and industry newsletters</li>
<li> local daily and community newspaper</li>
<li> alumni newsletter</li>
<li> other people&#8217;s websites</li>
<li> internet publications</li>
<li> article directory sites</li>
</ul>
<p>Just remember, the content of your articles need to be valuable and relevant to the readers.  And the places that you submit your articles to needs to have readers that are a fit with your target audience.  You don&#8217;t want to waste your time and the readers&#8217; time if the content of your articles isn&#8217;t something they want to learn about!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Marketing is something we need to do every day (okay, okay, we can take some days off!).  Anything that needs to be done on a consistent basis can be made easier if you automate it.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why all successful online businesses put most of their email communications on autopilot. In this way they can build the marketing relationship between themselves and their prospects and clients with ongoing communications that are sent out automatically at pre-set times.</p>
<p>This allows you, the marketer, to spend time on things that are important - like the quality of the email copy, and not on keeping track of when you need to send the next emails and who gets what email at what time.</p>
<p>I use <a href="http://jodygabourie.aweber.com" target="_blank">Aweber</a> - an opt-in (meaning people have to give their permission to be added to your list) autoresponder software program that is inexpensive, easy to use and has great features.</p>
<p>An autoresponder program allows you to put in any number of pre-written emails to your list (or a specific sub-group of your list) and have them sent out at pre-set dates and times.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a very powerful way to build a connection with people by keeping in touch with them on a regular basis.  We all know that in marketing it&#8217;s key to stay in contact so that when people need your services and products, you are top-of-mind!</p>

<p>By feeling good about marketing you&#8217;ll be able to more easily foster the willingness and curiosity to try out different marketing tactics - which will in turn boost your confidence and this will come across to everyone in your business world.  Also, by being willing to expand your marketing and try new things, you&#8217;ll bring in more clients faster and easier.</p>
<p>The better your attitude towards marketing, the more willing you&#8217;ll be to increase your knowledge and understanding of marketing and all it entails.  The more you experiment and study marketing (through books, articles, courses, seminars, coaching, mentoring) and get help from marketing professionals, the more successful you&#8217;ll be.</p>
<p>It is important that you feel good about your marketing as well as choose tactics that fit your skill set, interests, and of course, your business and marketing goals.</p>
<p>You want to choose marketing strategies that you are comfortable with or at least not terrified of!  You want to feel authentic and comfortable when you&#8217;re marketing, because then your passion and confidence will really shine through - and that attracts clients and keeps them coming back.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The ultimate result of using speaking as a marketing tactic is to build your list and get customers for whatever your products and services are.  Therefore, any speech you give needs to be in front of an audience that is composed of your target group (at least in some part).</p>
<p>And of course, the content of your speech/talk needs to be something that your audience finds valuable and has need of.</p>
<p>As well, the topic needs to support or be similar to the products and services (if you have any yet) that you will be trying to sell to these people - either &#8220;from the stage&#8221; or later on via your website, blog, follow-up, etc.</p>
<p>So you need to choose content that you know your prospects and clients want. There are several ways to find this out:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> research the needs of your target market</li>
<li> do a survey</li>
<li> get information from the event planner or workshop coordinator about the expectations and needs of the audience</li>
<li> get feedback from your current clients and customers</li>
<li> get clear on what problem your target audience wants solved and the benefits you offer</li>
</ul>
<p>Keep in mind that your content will change as you and your business change.  Just remember that you are an expert in your field and as a result, you have your own story to tell.</p>
